The Mirani State High School Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Program gives freedom to students and their families to tailor their choice of technology to their own educational needs.

The Bring your own device user charter (DOCX, 233KB) needs to be agreed to and signed before students are permitted to bring their device to school and have it connected to the school facilities. Students and parents/carers need to carefully read the Charter prior to signing it. Any questions should be addressed to the school and clarification obtained before the Charter is signed. Please make payment to the office, attach receipt to the signed Charter and return all paperwork to the staff in the IT Department.

The Bring your own device handbook (DOCX, 493KB) will cover what BYOD is, benefits of the program, minimum device specifications, and other related aspects of the program.

Connecting osx devices (PDF, 618KB) outlines how staff and students with Education Queensland (EQ) identities can connect to BYOD using an Apple Mac device.

Connecting windows devices (PDF, 472KB) outlines how staff and students with EQ identities can connect to BYOD using a Windows device.

All state school students from Prep to Year 12 can now download multiple free copies of the Microsoft Office 2013 Suite to their personal home and mobile computer equipment. For more information regarding free Office software, visit the Microsoft Education website.
